In short: A team-building event in Escape This escape rooms costs from $39 to $59 per person (ER-OS starting prices, 27 October 2026), takes about 90 minutes, and comes with GST tax invoices, $20M public liability cover and a risk assessment.

The request

A facilitated escape room session for our team at Escape This, Australia’s largest escape room operator, charged to the team-building or learning and development budget.

Objectives

  • Practise problem-solving and communication under time pressure
  • See how the team splits work and makes decisions without a set leader
  • Give new or mixed teams a shared first project
  • Leave with two or three agreed changes to how we work

Format

About 90 minutes: check-in, 60 minutes in the rooms with synchronised starts, then photos, results and a debrief led by our own facilitator (or one Escape This arranges). Groups are never mixed with strangers. Venues: Escape This Perth CBD, Escape This Northbridge, Escape This Sydney CBD, Escape This Manly, Escape This Melbourne CBD.

Measurement

Each team’s escape result, finishing time and clues used, plus the facilitator’s observations. The complimentary Workplace Bonding Challenge adds a short questionnaire on each person’s problem-solving and communication style.

Risk and compliance

  • $20M public liability cover
  • Risk assessment available for the event
  • GST tax invoice issued
  • Insurance and risk documents available on request

26 of 48 rooms are adventures with no scares. Age limits and access needs are handled by choosing suitable rooms when booking.

FAQ

Questions procurement asks

Can we get a GST tax invoice for a team-building booking?

Yes. Escape This issues GST tax invoices for corporate bookings, so the event can be charged to a team-building or learning and development cost centre. Ask the bookings team when you enquire if your organisation needs particular details on the invoice.

Can someone observe our teams and run a debrief?

Yes. Most organisations bring their own facilitator, coach or team lead to observe the game and run the debrief afterwards. If you would like Escape This to arrange a facilitator instead, ask when you enquire.
